Are you eager to play a pivotal role in translating groundbreaking research into practical solutions that drive innovation?

Eleven have been retained by a Battery Manufacturing company based in Oxfordshire who are looking for a Scale Up Scientist / Engineer.

In this lab-based position, you will spearhead the transformation of R&D feasibility studies into scalable formats, bridging the gap between material development and process development and scale up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate R&D feasibility and proof of concept work into scalable formats for medium-scale implementation.
  • Design experiments to facilitate the scaling of chemistry based on prior work and literature review.
  • Manage time and prioritize work to meet project deadlines.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing insights for further development.
  • Safely handle powders on a larger scale in controlled laboratory environments.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, conducting risk and COSHH assessments before starting new experiments.
Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, applied science, or related field.
  • Understanding of different chemistries and their application on a larger scale.
  • Experience in experimental planning and time management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
