Eleven work with a clean hydrogen technology provider, delivering resource, at a critical phase of development in the scale up of their proprietary technology.

In 2022, following recent investment, the company needed to rapidly expand their team.

The company initially worked on the positions internally but, due to the highly technical nature of the vacancies, this proved difficult. Following an approach by a hydrogen expert at Eleven, the company quickly realised how we could add value - finding the correct candidates and quickly. By proving our sector knowledge and recruitment capabilities in this space, Eleven have now reached a wider agreement undertaking all technical recruitment for the business.

A particularly difficult role which was pivotal in triggering this wider agreement was the appointment of an Electrical Certification Engineer. Eleven gained an understanding of requirements: the candidate needed a highly niche skillset – experience of designing low and high voltage electrical products in accordance with industry standards, coupled with, experience of electrical product certification.

Alongside these skills, location was a challenge. The role was based in Yorkshire. A UK wide head hunt was required meaning the right candidate would also need to be open to relocating.

The company also needed the candidate ‘yesterday’. From initial searches, Eleven found 20 candidates throughout the UK, had the correct skills.

After two interview stages, and a full process timeline of six weeks, the ideal candidate was offered the job and at the salary they were aiming for. This was achieved through high quality candidate management at every step of the process.

As the candidate relocated for the role, with specific hesitations on location, Eleven were also able to provide much information on the area to make the move simpler for them and their family.

We continue to have a strong partnership with the client and continue to source new and exciting roles in this space, however, due to their current development phase they have asked to remain anonymous.
