About the Role
Process Technology Expert – Clean Chemical Innovation (Chemical Engineering) | Munich, Germany

On behalf of a cutting-edge clean-tech start-up based in Munich, we are seeking a hands-on Technology Expert to lead the development and scale-up of a novel chemical recycling process—moving far beyond pyrolysis or gasification to unlock high-value chemical building blocks from mixed plastic waste.
This is not incremental innovation. Here, you'll be the technical authority central to the design, modelling, and operation of a breakthrough demonstration plant (100–200 kg/day input), working at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, and environmental impact.
The ideal candidate:
- 10+ years of chemical or petrochemical engineering experience
- Demonstrable experience working with Oxidation processes, PET (purified terephthalic acid) or acetyls
- Strong background in reactor design, process scale-up, and Aspen or equivalent modelling tools
- Practical leadership in cross-functional engineering teams
- Eager to operate in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment focused on climate solutions
