HAZOP Facilitator

Job Title: HAZOP Facilitator (Pharmaceutical Industry)
Location: Flexible / Hybrid

We are working with a growing process safety consultancy supporting leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations with high-quality risk management and safety studies. Following the recent confirmation of projects, they are looking to recruit an experienced HAZOP Chair to join the team.

In this role, you will lead and support HAZOP studies for pharmaceutical manufacturing and development projects, working closely with multidisciplinary client teams to identify and manage process safety risks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facilitate and lead HAZOP studies for pharmaceutical processes and facilities
2. Conduct and support Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) assessments
3. Prepare study documentation, reports, and recommendations
4. Engage with client engineering, operations, and safety teams
5. Contribute to wider process safety consultancy activities

Requirements

1. Demonstrable experience facilitating HAZOP studies
2. Experience working within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
3. Strong knowledge and practical experience with LOPA methodologies
4. Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills
5. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Nice to Have

1. Experience with OEB6 containment or high-potency pharmaceutical processes
