About the Role

Process Controls Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire, UK | Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview:
An innovative engineering organisation is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to bridge Process and Controls Engineering. You’ll translate process requirements into structured documentation and support the design, development, and deployment of control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document process control requirements and logic
  • Produce design documentation (e.g. I/O lists, SFCs, ladder logic, C&E matrices)
  • Support controls architecture and PLC/SCADA development
  • Contribute to process improvement, testing, and validation activities
  • Assist with functional safety and system performance analysis
  • Collaborate across engineering teams and share knowledge

Requirements
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline
  • ~5+ years’ experience in process, manufacturing, or R&D environments
  • Broad technical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator with a proactive approach
