Junior Instrumentation Engineer Opportunity

£40-45,000 – Days based – Monday-Friday – plus Overtime and Oncall c£5-10K

Job Purpose:

• Maintenance Activities: Perform Instrumentation (I) maintenance to meet business needs.
• High Hazard Systems: Maintain safety-critical equipment, including SIL, ATEX, ESD, DCS.
• Challenging Environment: Conduct maintenance in high-hazard conditions, including MEWP/working at height and flammable atmospheres.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to Responsible Care policies, regulatory compliance, and national regulations.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure business continuity.
• Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical assistance to the plant maintenance team, diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
• 24/7 Plant Cover: Participate in a call-out rota, offering plant cover and out-of-hours support.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

Essential:

• Minimum ONC or equivalent in Instrumentation Engineering
• COMPEX certification
• Experience on a COMAH site

Desirable:

• HNC in Instrumentation Engineering
• Maintenance experience in the chemical industry
