Head of UK Safety / Process Safety


Eleven have partnered with a fantastic chemical business to recruit a new Head of UK Safety for their site in Hampshire.
I am looking to speak with Senior Process Safety specialists who are looking for a new and exciting challenge   



Main Duties


Liaise with regulators to ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety, and Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations.

• Permit to work system
• Security & Access Control
• Emergency response plans
• Incident Reporting system

Provide Process Safety expertise for incident investigation, process hazard analyses, Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSRs), management of change, and engineering project activities

• Maintain an active and visible safety/process safety program
• Conduct and facilitate safety meetings and training.
• Ensure that Process Safety risks are as Low As Reasonably Practical (ALARP).
• Ensure that UK employees, visitors, and contract workers are not exposed to Health, Safety, and Security risks.
• Ensure the site complies with applicable UK legislative requirements, corporate policy, and industry standards.
• Lead the management and continuous improvement of plant safety, and process safety activities.

What I would like to see

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, or a Process Safety related course
• Minimum 5 years experience with Process Safety/COMAH in a chemical environment
• Working knowledge of UK Safety and Process Safety requirements
• Be a TEAM player
