Eleven are delighted to be partnering with a ground-breaking clean energy start-up, who are revolutionising fuel technology by cracking green ammonia, to achieve zero-carbon ammonia & hydrogen, for a range of industrial applications.
Their in-house catalyst chemistry offers better performance, while using materials 1000x cheaper than anything else presently on the market, offering cheaper, zero emission reactors that are significantly smaller and lighter than any existing products on the market.
Having recently received a significant amount of private equity investment, the business are now looking to build out their engineering capability, as they continue to scale their technology towards commercial application.
As such, they are now looking to identify an innovative, high-calibre Performance Modelling Engineer, with a strong understanding of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)-based propulsion and power systems, and particularly their simulation and modelling at a system level.
You Will
- Contribute to company objectives and programmes with the creation of system and subsystem models
- Delivery of performance data internally and externally (data sets, engine decks, etc.) in a timely manner to aid system and subsystem design decisions
- Supporting the maintenance and development of simulation and modelling capabilities within the company, including both steady state and transient analysis tools.
- Supporting the maintenance and development of simulation and modelling capabilities within the company, including both steady state and transient analysis tools.
About You
- A Masters-level degree in mechanical, chemical, automotive, or aerospace engineering; computer science, mathematics, or another relevant field of engineering or science
- Deep knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and engine performance analysis.
- Skilled in at least one of Python and MATLAB scripting languages
- Experience in the use, design, and implementation of numerical aerothermodynamic simulation tools, particularly in integration of bespoke programmes with commercial packages
- Experience in the simulation, analysis, and development of complex internal combustion thermodynamic (power and propulsion) systems
What you can expect
- A fast-paced environment, positioned on the cutting edge of technology development aimed at supporting rapid decarbonising of global maritime, aviation, and industrial activity.
- Being a part of an entrepreneurial, well financed start-up, at ground level, where you can make a real impact in the company’s journey
- Participation in the company share option scheme
- Industry leading salaries
