Middle Office Analyst /P&L Analyst

Eleven are currently working with a global Energy trader who are looking to recruit for a Middle Office Analyst to join their team in London. The Middle Office is a multi-disciplinary function with overall responsibility for P&L production, market risk and credit risk management. 

This is a brilliant opportunity to further develop or acquire the key skills and knowledge required to build a career in the energy commodities industry whilst working for a worldwide leading energy trader.
The company are looking for a candidate to complete the following duties:

• Producing daily P&L for the trading books whilst enduring its consistency and integrity
• Resolving any queries from traders or other departments relating to P&L
• Validation of all physical commodity and derivative deal entries to ensure accurate capture into Allegro
• Liaising with traders and solving any queries relating to P&L
• Validation of internal trade physical and paper marks
• Ensuring accurate capture into systems by validating all physical commodity and derivative deal entries
• Supporting market and credit risk monitoring
• Summary reporting (e.g. weekly, monthly) on key analytics
• Active discussions with front risk and risk around trading strategy and positions

Candidate requirements:

• Manual and automatic PnL processing skills
• At least 2 to 4 years’ of work experience, preferably with a degree in an accounting discipline or similar.
• Confident personality, with the ability to communicate effectively in English
• Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, quickly, and accurately
• Computer literate, numerate, and comfortable handling varied and complex data sets
