A specialty chemicals manufacturer is on the lookout for an experienced plant manager. This is a key hire for the company and would suit an ambitious individual experienced with a 24/7 chemicals plant operating under a multi-product batch process, looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing production plans to meet customer demands, optimize production processes, and minimize downtime.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Creating and managing budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to optimize plant profitability.
• Ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications, and implementing quality control procedures to maintain consistency and reliability in product performance.
• Overseeing maintenance and repair operations, ensuring that equipment is maintained and repaired as needed to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to optimize production efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

• Relevant degree in chemistry and background as a chemical engineer.
• Experience as a plant manager within a multi-batch chemicals plant.
• Strong management experience with the ability to lead teams across disciplines.
