Eleven are delighted to be partnering with a ground-breaking clean energy start-up, based in Oxfordshire, who are revolutionising fuel technology by cracking green ammonia, to achieve zero-carbon ammonia & hydrogen, for a range of industrial applications.
Their heat exchanger technology & ammonia cracking expertise, will combine to bring to market lightweight and compact cracking reactors for green ammonia, providing power and propulsion solutions for use in hard-to-decarbonise sectors such as aviation, marine shipping, and power generation.
With the business due to close out their latest funding round by Q1 2023, they are now looking to make a number of strategic hires, as they continue to scale their technology towards commercial application.
As such, they are now looking to identify a Thermomechanical Engineer, to join their engineering team.
Working in a critical role within a high performing team, the Thermomechanical Engineer will play a significant part in the engineering / design of the technology, building the team as the company develops.
If you are an experienced Thermomechanical Engineer, passionate about the path to Net-Zero & associated clean technologies, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
You Will
• Design of thermal management and reactor hardware, rig and demonstrator components, and other company parts and products
• Manage the process for design, procurement of parts, and build of complex custom equipment
• Prepare, present, and report technical work to partners, customers, and other external parties
About You
• A Masters-level degree in mechanical or design engineering, or another relevant field of engineering or science
• Experience in designing systems utilising ammonia and/or hydrogen as working fluids
• Good multi-disciplinary understanding of analytical calculations (structural, thermodynamic etc.) to support design work
• Design experience in high-temperature applications through all product lifecycle phases from conceptualisation to detailed design completion
• Ability to lead/interact effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, including contractors and external partners, with a track-record of developing high-performing teams
What you can expect
• A fast-paced environment, positioned on the cutting edge of technology development aimed at supporting rapid decarbonising of global maritime, aviation, and industrial activity.
• Being a part of an entrepreneurial, well financed start-up, at ground level, where you can make a real impact in the company’s journey
• Industry leading salaries
