European Gas & Power Shift Operator

Our client is a major global energy player looking to hire a European Gas & Power Shift Operator to join their team in London.

As part of the 24/7 shift team you will be responsible for nominating/scheduling gas and power, managing imbalances, e.g. through out of hours trading, and ensuring that physical contractual obligations are met in a compliant manner.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, such as traders and originators, as well as with external stakeholders, such as Shippers, Traders, TSOs, and SSOs.

This role requires an understanding of the European Gas and Power markets, contractual and commercial arrangements, the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with the transmission of gas and power, and the ability to work within pressurised situations.

Previous experience working within a trading environment would be preferable, as would data modelling capabilities, e.g. Python.
